2021 Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM was held virtually via zoom. The AGM is usually open to public and all Coastal ISC members. This year, due to Covid and staffing issues, Coastal ISC held a closed AGM. Please email us if the AGM meeting outcomes are of interest to you.
2020 Annual General Meeting

The 2020 AGM will be held as a virtual ZOOM meeting, and is open to the public and all Coastal ISC members. Advance registration is required. Should you wish to attend, please email us. You will be provided a link to the meeting on the morning of December 3, 2020.
2019 Plant ID Workshops
We run Plant ID Workshops for various organizations that are concerned with invasive plant infestations on public lands (such as parks or landfills), and Nurseries. If you would like to inquire about setting up a workshop for your organization, contact us.

2019 Comox Valley Farmers Market Booth
June 22, 2019
Our booth was set up at the busy farmers market located at the Exhibition Grounds – 4839 Headquarters Rd, Courtenay. We handed out pamphlets, ran mini identification workshops, and answered questions. We helped people learn about Coastal ISC’s free services for removing Knotweed and Hogweed from most homeowners properties in the Comox Valley (and other districts).
2019 Cumberland Preschool Community Weed-Pull
May 15 – 16, 2019
The Hand-in-Hand Early Childhood Nature Education Program focuses on outdoor learning and teamed up with the Coastal ISC to remove Scotch Broom and Himalayan Blackberry from their outdoor classroom. Thank you to all the teachers, students, and parents that helped out and were enthusiastic to learn about invasive plants.
