The Role

The Executive Director works closely with and receives direction from the Coastal ISC President and Board Directors to deliver programs for its members and supervises program coordinator and summer student field staff.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director is responsible for the administration of the Society, managing seasonal employees, coordinating chemical and manual field applications, coordinating regional invasive plant treatment contracts and working with affiliate organizations.  The successful candidate will also be developing and carrying out invasive plant education and outreach programs (e.g., Knot on My Property, Seedy Saturday educational booths, etc.). Coastal ISC is interested in candidates that are willing to obtain an Industrial Vegetation & Noxious Weed Pesticide Applicator Certificate.  The Executive Director role is highly dynamic. Practical experience is required to manage the multifaceted operational arm and Committee.
