The Coastal ISC invites you to attend Connecting with Current and Cultural Knowledge
Join us for an opportunity to come together in celebration of our diverse partners working together to “reduce the negative impact of invasive species on coastal communities”. We are delighted to have a Special Guest, The Lieutenant Governor of BC Judith Guichon give an opening speech!
Connect with others and hear speakers share the latest info about the European Fire Ant, the Spartina Invasion, Restoration Ecology, Mapping from Space, Cowichan Valley Invasive Plant Policy and more. A brief AGM will have Directors nominated and appointed during lunch (provided).
The afternoon will feature our much anticipated hands-on Field Tours, where we will visit local sites and learn about Cultural and Medicinal Food Plants, Restoration and Knotweed ID. New this year is an informal ‘beat the traffic’ evening social at the Craig Street Brew Pub to continue networking and discussions.
